ARS FORMS NEW ENTITY IN SWITZERLAND
On
September 2, in the city of Biel, Switzerland, the
Chairperson of the Armenian Relief Society, Mrs. Hasmig
Derderian, accompanied by Mrs. Helen Merdjanian, Chairperson
of the Armenian Blue Cross of France, swore in a group of
Swiss-Armenian women as members of a new ARS
Chapter-at-Large in Europe, bringing the total number of
countries where the ARS has active entities to 24.
With established entities in Bulgaria, Cyprus, England,
France, Germany« Greece, and Sweden, the addition of
Switzerland marks the dynamic growth of the Armenian Relief
Society in Europe. As part of this on-going progress,
preliminary work has been completed for the establishment,
in the near future, of an ARS entity in Holland, as well.
