Sites
and Joins ARS Armenia in Celebrating its 15th Anniversary
with Special Events in Yerevan
The Armenian Relief Society, Inc. has organized a tour of
historic Armenian sites and a day-long conference to
commemorate the ARS Armenia region’s 15th anniversary. The
September 15-25, 2006 event coincides with the 15th
anniversary of the re-established Armenian Republic’s
independence.
In addition to the tour, the 10-day event will be marked by
visits to the ARS Optic center, ARS Mother and Child Clinic
and Birthing Wing, the ARS Dilijan Camp, and ARS-sponsored
orphanages.
ARS Armenia 15th anniversary activities will include a gala
celebratory banquet on September 22 and a 15th anniversary
concert sponsored by the Republic of Armenia’s First Lady
Dr. Bella Kocharian on September 23.
The ARS Central Executive Board will also meet with
representatives of its attending ARS entities from around
the world and will hold its own business meeting in Yerevan.
A highlight of the week will be the day-long September 22
conference sponsored by the ARS Central Executive Board at
the Marriott Hotel, Yerevan. The conference will be held
under the auspices of First Lady Kocharian. Many important

representatives from a number of non-governmental
organizations, and other dignitaries.
The conference will feature a round-table discussion on “The
ARS Past, Present, and Future,” with participants
representing the relevant ARS generations. The round-table
discussion will be moderated by ARS Central Executive Board
members Tamar Der-Bedrossian, ARS Lebanon, and Mayda
Melkonian, ARS Eastern USA. The discussants will be Vanuhi
Issajanian, ARS Canada, representing “ARS Past;” Nanor
Hrishdagian, ARS Syria, representing “ARS Present;” and
